best place to get all your Italian provisions.
Tutti Vabene. The foods, service and atmosphere are great.
My husband and I lived in Italy in 1999-2000 and are now retired in a small community in the mountains of North Carolina. We depend upon Teitel Brothers for a number of items, but notably cheeses that are the quality we had in Italy. (Their parmigiana reggiana is better priced and better quality than any source we've found.) We've talked to them on the phone; yes, they are from the Bronx and quite direct. But never rude and always helpful.
I love this place! I have been coming here for the past 20+ years. Excellent products, excellent service, and excellent prices. Michael behind the counter owned a 5 star Italian restaurant for 20 years and is a wealth of Italian food information
Just awesome. Salami was exceptional. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Wish it was closer, but worth the trip. Stop in here for sure!
Best old world products and cold cuts. Great selection and prices too.
Old school place where crusty locals try to skip the line by claiming they want to speak to "Mario". works every time if you're a crusty local.
My mother grew up on this block and over 35 years since she left the neighborhood still returns for the kalamata olives, lentils, and olive oil. This is also where we go to stock up on all the Italian cured meats we need for antipasto every holiday. If your going Easter weekend, arrive early! The line to enter get lengthy.
There's no rhyme or reason to the layout of this small store and the products topple over each other, taking up every inch of square space, but boy, does it smell great in here.Teitel Brothers is cluttered and the slabs of cured meats hang above the front counter like a somber meat curtain (get it out of the gutter, folks) to blot out any kind of light. It's gloomy in there and still, it's unequaled in the imported Italian products: all types of cheeses in blocks as big as a torso, prosciutto di Parma sliced in tender, razor-thin wisps, barrels of olives cured in oil, varieties of pasta in shapes you've never before imagined, olive oil, Umbrian lentils... it goes on and on.You can spend a fortune in here, but it's still less than you would pay in Manhattan and it's one of the few places for unique and authentic Italian food products. Packed and chaotic as the space is, the employees behind the counter somehow make the place move efficiently.
The best Italian products on the Avenue. These guys made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Baruch Hashem.
Been there since 1919-great experience. Authentic and friendly people. All the meats and cheeses you could ever want. Meats and cheeses hanging above and any Italian condiment known to man.
Very nice staff but they close very early
Great stop for olive oils and cold cuts.
These guys are great! They have all been there for years, and shopping in the store is an event unto itself. It files all your senses with the colors, the smells, and best of all the free tastes! Our family hasvtraveled from Connecticut for years to shop here. Now we are in Georgia and Titels is always a “must go” when we travel north. And when we just can’t wait they ship!
Great Store I love it!
The greatest high quality Italian products at very good prices!
The best of the best We love the place!
The best of the best .. high quality great prices Cheese, olives, sausage and the best Italian sausages... number one stop in New York
Teitel Brothers is by far the only place you want to go to get real authentic supplies. These guys are great. They are fast, efficient and courteous. Highly recommended.
Old school charm, packed to the nines with delicious Italian goodies! Free samples when you order your meats to boot!!!
Great place to get ur cheeses and cold cuts not to mention all kinds of imported goods from italy and the staff is great!
This place makes me feel like I'm in Italy! Awesome variety and great prices!
The best Italian deli in all of New York, hands down! Shan’t a pecorino cheese or maybe a Romano grating cheese; how about some spicy or sweet salami, or maybe you want Tuscan prosciutto. Imported olive oils or hot peppers in oil, come on by! A must stop on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx.
Best place for cold cuts and Italian items. They have the absolute best prices. Looking for wide selection of cheeses well they have plenty. Best prices around. A staple when I visit Arthur Ave
Mike is the best...cheeses high quality, the sausage is out of this world...everything high end and fair prices...old school latticini
I love shopping at Teitel Brothers, I love all the Italian products under one roof. Keepsme and my family very happy.
Teitel Brothers is the best itilian market anywhere, the products are second to none and the people are friendly and the prices are the very best anywhere.. this is the place to shop for all your itilian specilty items .. BEST OLIVE OIL AND TOMATOES IN THE WORLD.
Tops in everything from special cheeses to tomatoes Cold cuts and imported everything!
Whenever I am in the area, I always come here for a great deal on Pecorino Romano and Truffle cheese (the BEST!). The prices are really good and they give you lots of tastes. The guys behind the counter are pretty funny and really know their cheese. Yumm.
First time there and I was in heaven, bought cheeses and Italian cured meats and olive oil. I wish I lived closer , I would do my shopping there.! They offer holding your purchase until you are ready for pickup, made my buying there a big plus. will be back
We can’t get some of our favorite foods here in South Carolina, so when a friend told me that I could order from Teitel Brothers, I was very happy, but a little nervous. I placed my order online, then called to confirm with one of the employees. The customer service was excellent and the food is delicious. It only took a day to arrive. I ordered Prosciutto, cacciatore, Reggiano Parmigiano and a box of Amaretto di Saronno cookies. Everything was very well packed and did I mention delicious? So happy to bring a little taste of Italy here to Mt. Pleasant. Grazie Teitel Bros!
We always try to visit when we go to Yankee games. The prices are excellent and the staff is extremely helpful. Great value on cheese, olive oil, and sun dried tomatos.
It was my first time visiting today. The line was outside, but it was worth the wait! Even tho it was really crowded the customer service was excellent! The gentle man that took my orders was patient and knowledgeable of the foods! I will definitely visit again.
A must, go-to market for Italians and Italian specialities.
Nice store, but they could have been a little friendlier. Try smiling when you are serving customers.
Teitel Brothers deli has an amazing selection of authentic Italian delicacies. The atmosphere can be a bit intimidating for a newcomer as the store can get pretty crowded and you'll wonder if you'll ever get served. Well, worry NOT! The staff is extremely attentive and will seek you out. They will answer all you questions and offer you taste samples if need be. If you don't see what you want, ASK! They likely have it squirreled away somewhere in there LOL. Likewise, the other shoppers are always friendly and courteous. It's all part of the Arthur Avenue experience. Oh, did I mention Teitel has the BEST prices on all their goods? Well, it's true. You won't find anything you buy there cheaper elsewhere, so buy with confidence.
We drove from Chicago to Arthur Ave. so we could load up our cooler. Truffle cheese to roasted eggplant. Mike Teitel knows his food.
Friendly neighborhood italian shop & they accept SNAP!
Everything you need is here. Good baccala
